Apple Blossom Sesshin Online

One Sangha, One Stream

Welcome to our second sesshin simultaneously offered to those who are unable to join us in person. Please read these sesshin precautions we have created especially for those joining online.

Click here to view or download the schedule for the week.

You can also see the roster of all 131 sesshin participants. This has been posted to the Monastery’s bulletin boards, as well.

Please be encouraged to fully participate in the liturgy services. If you are less familiar with our liturgy, or don’t own a copy of the MRO liturgy book, you can view and print online versions by visiting the liturgy page on our website.

Click here to listen to Shugen Roshi’s sesshin opening remarks from Monday evening.

On Thursday evening, there will be a second orientation for those participating online for the first time. Click below to connect over Zoom:

Thursday – 7:00pm

We’ll have a closing event (like Open Sozan, for those familiar with the tradition) that will take place on Saturday evening at 8pm.
CLICK HERE ahead of 8pm to join.

On Sunday, we will conclude the week with a mondo as part of the morning program, all of which will be open to anyone through Livestream.com/MRO

PLEASE NOTE: Our live stream has been quite stable. Every now and then, however, we may lose internet connection, but never for more than a period of zazen. If you are encountering any difficulties on your end, it is usually one of two reasons:
A) Some of the streaming code on this page has changed, which requires you to refresh your page. The page refresh button is usually located on either side of your web address bar on your browser.
B) We are streaming at a high fidelity. Your internet may not have the bandwidth to reliably keep up. Try clicking on the settings circle in the lower right hand corner of your livestream video and change it from 720p to something lower, such as 380p.

This zazen livestream feed for April sesshin has concluded. Please visit livestream.com/mro at 9:00am for our Sunday morning program.

NOTE: If the webcast does not begin automatically, you may need to refresh your browser. Video of the talks will not be archived online but if you miss a talk, you can listen via the podcast page by 7pm the same day.

If you have any technical questions related to this endeavor, please email mroweb@dharma.net
Someone will check it regularly.
