Transgender Resilience—An Afternoon for Trans, Gender-Nonconforming, Black, Indigenous, Asian and Peoples of Color

with Trans and Gender Non-conforming (TGNC) and Black, Indigenous, Asian and Peoples of Color (BIPOC) Sangha

November 27, 2021

Sponsored by the Trans and Gender Non-conforming (TGNC) and Black, Indigenous, Asian and Peoples of Color (BIPOC) Affinity Groups.

The first half of this afternoon event is dedicated to the theme of Looking Back: Resilience and History, in which we will invoke our ancestors, learn about the contributions of Black, Latinx, and Asian Trans people to TGNC history and activism within the US, and experience the power of shared silence. In the second half, we turn our attention to Looking Forward: Community Building, to focus on mutual understanding through brave listening, small group explorations, and art exercises, providing us the tools we can use to meet the present moment.
