Half-Day Sit: The Art of Sitting

with Jody Hojin Kimmel, Sensei

December 18, 2021

Please join us for a half day sit at the Temple! You must have previous zazen experience and have had beginning instruction at ZCNYC or ZMM; please call before registering if this is your first half day sit: (718) 875-8229.

And to help during this transition time, NO WALK-INS ALLOWED, and PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY. Thank you!

These short zazen intensives are popular with those new to Zen practice or meditation, as well as more experienced students. The morning offers a time of silence and stillness and provides an excellent way to explore and deepen one’s zazen. The retreat, led by Hojin Sensei, will be introduced and conclude with dharma words of encouragement and followed by a gathering with refreshments.

We strive to keep our retreat prices low and offer these programs by donation. Program price for this retreat is $30, please pay what you can. It’s important that the dharma is available to everyone. Thank you for your continued support.

You must be fully vaccinated to participate in this event.
