Peaceful Dwelling: Meditation Intensive
with MRO Teachers and Senior Staff
September 1 - 4, 2022
This meditation intensive provides a powerful container for exploring and developing your commitment to self-directed practice. The morning’s schedule offers the support and strength of a traditional sesshin. In the afternoon and evening, the structure of the schedule lifts, allowing you to discover the power of practicing according to your own rhythms and deepest aspiration. The intensive will conclude on Sunday with the Ango Opening Ceremony.
This intensive is for those who have previously done zazen intensives within the MRO, especially MRO training students planning to make a formal commitment to Ango. The intensive will include oryoki breakfast and lunch, as well as face-to-face teaching. Formal training students should bring their oryoki bowls.
You can register to arrive either Thursday or Friday.
As with all in-person retreats at the Monastery, participants are required to follow the current protocol for keeping everyone safe (this link is updated frequently so check back). Review the current protocol requirements before registering, and if you have further questions, please contact the registrar at (845) 688-2228, or email@example.com.
Financial concerns should not prevent you from attending a program at the Monastery. If you can’t afford the program fee, you can see these options.
